Preacher Man (Remix)

This is a song called Preacher Man by Street Sirens. They are a band that my friend knows. I dug this song and am having an attempt at remixing it. It’s the first time I have ever done this. I am using Adobe Audition 3.0, which is very similar to ProTools to compose & mix the tracks. I used Fruity Loops Studio 8 to create the under-lying beat. I plan on working on the track still and taking it into a few other programs as well. I have no idea how to use any of these programs really, I am just learning as I go along. I know the track needs tightened up a bit. Also I have no piano skills to create some kind of melody or sounds other than the beat… =\
